Prairie View USD 362 Parents,
Today, Wednesday, September 23, 2020, we have had a student that attends Prairie View High School test positive for the COVID-19 virus. We investigated for possible exposure of students and staff. Those that it may affect have been or will be notified of quarantine measures that need to be followed. At this time, this affects approximately 17 students and 2 staff for quarantine.
It is important to note that during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic we all must take precautions and remain diligent in order to continue to provide in-person school. It is important to remember that all students and staff must continue to practice our safety protocols.
Again, if your child is experiencing any of the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus which also mimic flu and cold symptoms, as a precaution keep them home and do not send them to school. As always, we are following our guidelines that we have put in place to help lessen the extent of exposure of the virus and we are working with the Linn County Health Department to determine if any further measures need to be taken.
