Around The World With Third Grade

Social Studies has been a global experience for our students this year. The students have used Internet, film strips, and experts to research all seven continents. They gathered information about climate, costumes, landmarks, animals, and other specific information.
We have also had guests come to our class to help share information about the continents. Morgan Isbell shared many pictures and experiences from her trip to Europe. Mr. Hargis dressed the part when he came with slides and artifacts from his trip to Africa. We finished the unit with two people that live in South Africa and Australia.
We will now evaluate our research and create travel brochures for each continent. The students are very excited to share all the interesting things they have learned.
