Visiting Artist

Mrs. Atherton's Second Grade had a visiting artist come to their classroom on February 9. They got to spend an hour with Alyn Jackson learning about Impressionist Art and Edgar Degas. They got to see a book with art done by Degas and learn about the color wheel. They were very fascinated to learn that you can create other colors by only using red, yellow and blue. Then they got to make their own Impressionist Art. It's called "Night At the Disco."
