Welcome Back!

The entire staff of Fontana Elementary would like to extend a sincere welcome to all returning and new students. The first half of the year has been wonderful and I am looking forward to more challenges and successes in the months to come. I would just like to offer a few reminders as the second semester begins.
Even though I’ve lived in Kansas my whole life, the changing weather never ceases to amaze me! Please continue to send your students to school with appropriate clothing. It’s a good idea for students to keep a light jacket handy at school even on warm days. Also, please continue to offer your support to the Fontana Parent-Teacher group. We can accomplish so much more with a supportive PTG behind us! Finally, please continue to work with your students at home reinforcing the day’s lessons. There simply is no substitute for the message you send to your children when you have them read to you or practice their math facts. The state assessments are just around the corner and Fontana plans to build upon its already impressive record.
