2-D Art = Prerequisite is Art 1(Class content is on a three year cycle)
2-D Art History - Students will study a specific modern art movement then create an art work based on that movement.
Intense study of two dimensional media. Students will study composition, art criticism, and aesthetics.
2-D Art - Content - Students will be given content and choose their own media for projects.
2-D Art - Composition - Students will be given media and choose the content for their projects.
3-D Art = Prerequisite is Art 1
Intense study of three dimensional media. Students will study and create major types of sculpture media. Students will study composition, art criticism, aesthetics, and 3-D art as it relates to art history.
The following three classes are offered on a rotation basis
Introduction to Film = Prerequisite is Art 1(Class Limit is twelve)
Intense study of several film genres and film’s impact on modern society.
The class will also write and create a short film.
Comic Book Illustration - Prerequisite is Art 1
Study of comic books with an emphasis on super heroes. Study of illustration, history and philosophy of super heroes and super villains. The emphasis of the class will be on illustration of comic books. The class main project will be creating a finished comic book.
