Mr. Hargis grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and attended a parochial elementary school for the first eight years of his schooling. He spent his remaining years in Kansas City as a Washington High School “Wildcat” and a Kansas City Kansas Community Junior College “Blue Devil.” Mr. Hargis headed west to continue has education, where he obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Fort Hays State University. In later years, he would complete his administrative coursework from Emporia State University.
In the summer, Mr. Hargis and his family enjoys spending time at their house on the Lake of the Ozarks. Their activities include swimming, boating and fishing. During other seasons, he enjoys photography, biking and traveling. Mr. Hargis’ favorite college teams are KU and K-State.
