FBLA Members Participate in District Contests

The Future Business Leaders of America have been busy preparing for district and state contests. On Saturday, January 26, Mrs. Abernathy took seven members to Galena, Kansas to participate in District I contests. Students did exceptionally well:
Dwight Lane: Impromptu Speaking, 6th
Misty Lethcho: Business Communications, 9th
Megan Reed: Accounting II, 3rd
Sergio Rivera: Marketing, 1st
Tasha Shackelford: Accounting II, 2nd; Business Calculations, 7th
Katherine Verhaeghe: Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure, 4th; Introduction to Business, 12th
Team Events: Entrepreneurship Team, 5th (Dwight Lane, Sam Behm, Sergio Rivera); Parliamentary Procedure Team, 2nd (Dwight Lane, Misty Lethcho, Katherine Verhaeghe)
Congratulations and thanks go out to these students for being active members in our FBLA chapter. These students will also be participating in the State Leadership Conference in Topeka on March 27 and 28.
